Open Preview email on the Reminders page, choose the email, and select Send a test to me. GarnerDocs sends that email, filled with sample data, to your own email address.
Steps
-
Open Reminders
Select Reminders in the sidebar.
-
Open the preview
Select Preview email at the top of the page. The preview shows what a client receives.
-
Choose the email
Use the menu to pick Reminder, Final reminder, Invitation or Replacement requested.
-
Send the test
Select Send a test to me. You'll see "Test email sent to" followed by your email address.
What you'll receive
The email you picked, exactly as a client would see it, with:
- Your workspace's name as the sender ("[your workspace name] via GarnerDocs"), and your logo and brand colour.
- A sample client, James Wilson at Wilson Joinery, and a sample request, "2025 Tax Documents", due 14 days from today.
- A sample checklist: Bank Statements (already received), Loan Statements and Year-End Inventory Report.
It goes to the email address on your own profile, not to a client, and it's sent straight away.
Good to know
- Nothing is saved: no client, request or reminder is created, and nothing appears in your activity.
- The test isn't linked to a real request, so its upload button doesn't open a working upload page.
- Anyone on your team can send a test, on every plan.
- You can send up to 6 test emails a minute. If you hit the limit, wait a minute and try again.
- Change the logo and colour the emails use in Settings → Branding & portal. See Add your logo and brand colour.
- Didn't arrive? Check your spam folder, and that the address in your profile is right.
