How long files are keptYour team
Growth and Pro have no limit on team members. Assign each request to someone.
Invite your teamContent Snare collects content, answers and files, for industries from digital agencies and accounting to law, finance and real estate. A request can mix typed answers, tables, uploads and a signature, so it can stand in for an intake form.
GarnerDocs collects documents, for any business that needs them from its clients. Each item on a request is a document or a short one-line answer, such as a tax ID. Yes-or-no and choice questions can leave documents off a client's checklist until their answer calls for them. Your client uploads files, types answers and can leave a note. It's a checklist, not a form builder, which keeps setting up short, but it can't replace an intake form.
Neither is practice management. If you want one system for clients, jobs, billing and documents, an all-in-one suite may suit you better.
Both send your client a private link by email, with no account to make. In Content Snare, your client works through one question at a time, and answers save as they go. You can add a PIN or require an account.
In GarnerDocs, your client sees a checklist of the documents you asked for and can upload some today and the rest next week, from a phone or a computer. You can add a 6-digit PIN that you give your client yourself, and reset a link at any time. See what your clients see.
Both price by active requests, the ones still collecting. A completed request stops counting.
Content Snare's plans on 20 October 2026, in USD a month, billed monthly (or annually): Basic $42 ($35) for 20 active requests and 2 users; Plus $85 ($71) for 50 and 5 users; Pro $143 ($119) for 100 and 10 users; Custom from $258 ($215). Plans also limit storage and SMS.
GarnerDocs is billed monthly or yearly in USD, and a year costs ten months. Starter is $39 a month ($390 a year) for 20 active requests and one team member. Growth is $99 for 100, and Pro is $199 for 300, both with no limit on team members.
Compare them at the number of requests you'll have open at once, and the number of people who need to sign in.
If several of these matter to you, Content Snare is likely the better choice.
There's nothing to import. Let open requests finish in Content Snare, and send new ones from GarnerDocs.
List the documents from each Content Snare request as a template. Facts that fit on one line can be short answers. Longer questions stay with your form or email.
One at a time, or from a spreadsheet.
Create a request for each client and send it. The reminders take it from there.
Plans start at $39 a month, or $390 a year, for 20 active requests on Starter, and every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial. See pricing.
Not as a form. Most items are documents, but an item can also be a short answer: one line of text, such as a tax ID or a date of birth. Your client can also leave a note with their uploads. If you need longer answers, tables or questions that depend on earlier answers, Content Snare or a form tool fits better.
Yes, through webhooks on Growth and Pro, which work with Zapier's and Make's webhook triggers. There's no native app, cloud storage sync or API yet. If you rely on integrations, Content Snare has many more.
GarnerDocs deletes a completed request's files when your retention period of 30, 90, 180 or 365 days ends, after emailing you 14 and 3 days before. Content Snare doesn't state a deletion schedule publicly; it keeps ID and AML check records for seven years.
