Copy a request as a new draft for the same client, with nothing uploaded.
Last updated · Facts checked
Select Duplicate on any request to copy it as a new draft for the same client, with the same checklist and nothing uploaded.
Steps
-
Open the request you want to copy
It can be a draft, an active, completed or cancelled request.
-
Select Duplicate
On completed and cancelled requests it's a button at the top of the page. On drafts and active requests, choose it from the ⋯ menu.
-
Check the new draft
You land on the copy, with "Copied as a new draft". Choose Edit draft to change the title, due date or checklist.
-
Send it
Select Send request when it's ready.
What's copied
- The client.
- The title and subtitle, unchanged. Rename it if the title includes a year or period.
- The message to the client.
- Who it's assigned to, and whether automatic reminders are on.
- The checklist: categories, document names, descriptions, accepted file types, the file size limit and the order.
- The due date, if it's still in the future.
What isn't copied
- Uploaded files, review decisions and replacement requests: every document starts as not uploaded.
- Client notes, reminders already sent and the activity history.
- A due date that is today or has passed. Pick a new one before you send.
- The request's own link. The copy gets a new one, which works once you send it. A copy of a request sent with its own link is sent with its own link too.
- The PIN. If the request has one, the copy gets its own new PIN.
Good to know
- Nothing goes to your client until you send the copy.
- Drafts don't count towards your plan's active requests.
- To send the same checklist to a different client, save it as a template instead.
